about

ONLY AVAILABLE IN DIGITAL FORM
Just by the title of this CD, you may notice that production is very different from Mito's usual Flamenco CD's. He carefully selected this classical music to epitomize the complexity of difficult hand movement from near the head of the guitar (1st position) to the body of the guitar (4th or 5th Position). The serenade beauty of Mito's original piece, "Rambla" sets the tone for this CD. He wrote this piece while walking along a river walkway in Sevilla hence the title... "Rambla (Water Walkway)". Included in this CD are the originally untitled yet popular piece entitled, "Spanish Ballad", which is best known as "Romanza", as well as the alluring melody of "Leyenda" and the complex intricacies of "Sevilla" which denote the eclectic mix within the realm of Classical guitar. More than anything, Mito concerns himself with rhythm and timing. Regarding Classical guitar he states, "To me rhythm and/or tempo are the most important aspect of music because they are the heartbeat, and how can music live without a heartbeat?" - Mito.
"Soothing and sultry" best describe this CD.
