Translation: Verse 1 There’s a land of free people. Over there, songs are sung about the earth and thanks for the orchards. When I go outside, I take the sun where there is none... it gives me nurishment, I nurish it . Verse 2 Here is my Alegrias. I hope you don’t feel bad, because we spend too much time without happiness. Verse 3 Look! the light is so bright through the branches of the grove as "the Myth" sings the sounds of the street.

Coro 1: No debo tener demasiado egoísmo debo dejarlas ir. No agarro a nadie. Coro 2: No agarro a nadie. No agarro a nadie. Translation: Verse 1 One mother gave me life. Two mothers gave me love, direction and security. Chorus 1: I should not be so selfish and let them go. I will not hold onto anyone. Verse 2 The majority of people do not even have one good mother figure, but I have (had) two, I had two. Chorus 2: I will not hold onto anyone. (repeat) Verse 3 I do not want them to suffer in this life. In this existence it is difficult to say, “goodbye!”

Translation: Verse 1: You have the belief that you know them and the prayer they know themselves. Communicate what you want from and for her. Love can be bittersweet. Verse 2: Do not fall into the trap of the sweetness of a bitter façade of emotion. Verse 3: You know how to be yourselves, there should be nothing more. The decision is yours.

It is better give than to take (Do you give more then you take?) Many people have so much fear. Verse 2: It is not a fault to be preoccupied with what we do not need. Chorus: My life, yours, theirs... We are all connected. There is reverence. Allow it (to exist). Verse 3: What satisfies you? What satiates you? Be one human... to be only human, only to be one human. (Lyrics not included in the CD: How confused I am at the pain people cause).

about

This CD maintains mostly traditional Flamenco styles and palos (forms) with the exception of "Dos Gatos", which is more of a jazzy-flamenco that he wrote for he and a fellow flamenco guitarist. "Para los Moros", is another exploration in world music as it is written in a 9/8 meter. Throughout this CD, Mito utilizes percussion, transverse and Andean flutes and plenty of palmas (rhythmic clapping). As usual, these forms coupled with Mito’s compositional style add a unique twist to Flamenco tradition. His melodies are haunting and captivating, especially in the title track "Ser un humano" (To Be Human). This track is traditional Flamenco in nature and employs direct questions, such as, "¿Que os motiva, el amor o el miedo?" (What motivates all of you, love or fear?). With this piece, as well as the rest of the CD, Mito encourages the listener to question their motives and intentions behind all their actions. Thought provoking exploration best describes this CD.
